The 2022 Exhibition (1st and 2nd October)
Following a 2 year hiatus due to the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 and the subsequent global pandemic (including social distancing restrictions and Robin Park Sports Centre acting as a temporary vaccine station), the Wigan show returned in triumph to the exhibition scene, taking place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October 2022. 36 layouts of varying scales and eras were in attendance, and I was there once more to record them in action.
From the valleys of Wales to the rocky mountains of America, the layouts present provided entertainment for audiences of all ages. Although visitor attendance was somewhat mixed (partly to be expected with some people still uncertain about social distancing, and the country-wide rail strike forcing the cancellation of the heritage bus shuttle), there was still always something for everyone. Here it is, for you to enjoy.
