The 2019 Exhibition (5th and 6th October)
Returning once again for 2019, the 52nd annual Wigan FRM Show took place in its usual spot at Robin Park Sports Centre, on the weekend of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October. Just over 30 layouts were in attendance at the 2019 event; some providing last minute cover for others who were otherwise indisposed. However, there was still a good quality and variety of layouts in all gauges and scales, to cater for every taste. From Australia to Wales, docks to hillsides, there was once more something to cater for everyone of all ages.
For the second year in a row, the North West Museum of Road Transport (based in St Helens) provided a free heritage bus shuttle service from the mainline station at Wigan North Western, to Robin Park Sports Centre. Introduced during last year's event, this was a very popular feature of the show, and will no doubt be repeated again when the show returns in 2020.
I was there for the entire duration of the show, and am pleased to once again bring you a pictorial record of what went on. You are about to see the many layouts I recorded for this feature.
